The Big Kitchen opens its doors every Monday from 11.30am until 1.30pm. It’s a safe place where Hull’s homeless community can enjoy a good meal, as well as experiencing the kindness and acceptance of Jesus. Staffed by volunteers from the church, the Big Kitchen is also a place to come for advice, support, prayer, and signposting to other organisations, including housing projects and drug rehabilitation programmes.
Our heart is to be a church that makes a difference in our community, that loves people radically and that puts into practice the faith that we have. Every monday we have between 30 and 50 men and women come to us for food, conversation, prayer and friendship.
As much as we love feeding them, we have vision for more. We want to see them led out of lives of homelessness and addiction, helped back into work, introduced to Jesus and led to experience the abundant life that he has for all of us.
