We believe that children are precious, that God loves them so much and that He wants to use them to do amazing things!

Our vision for Hull Vineyard Kids is in keeping with the Hull Vineyard church vision.

That every child would know the extent of God’s love for them and that they would grow in their relationship with Him; loving Him with all their hearts, following Him every day of their lives, and serving and extending His Kingdom.

That, as the Hull Vineyard Kids team, we would model Jesus and his servant heart to the children. That we would shower God’s love on every child who walks through the doors and that we would create an atmosphere where the Holy Spirit is free to meet with the children and vice versa, as well as encouraging an excitement and energy for worshiping God.

That Hull Vineyard Kids would be a welcoming place to the least, the lost and the lonely of this younger generation and that God’s love and power would be communicated in a way that they understand.

We pray that the number of children attending Hull Vineyard Kids would continue to multiply, especially with those new to the Christian family.

That every child would feel free to be themselves, in community with others, and most of all, that they would have loads of fun!

“You are never too young to be a part of the Hull Vineyard church!”

Jellies (0-6 year olds)

We have several groups for our 0-6 year olds called Jelly Babies, Jelly Tots and Jelly Beans and we meet every Sunday morning. Our Jelly groups are interactive and fun and we have a great time learning about Jesus and praying for each other. We also have a separate crèche room for those parents who would like to stay with their babies and you will find plenty of toys and games in this room for your use. The sermon from the main service is also shown in this room on the crèche TV.

All Stars (7-11 year olds)

All Stars is our group for 7-11 year olds (Year 3—Year 6) and a time for fun, friends and faith all rolled into one. We love to laugh together, explore God, get a bit messy, pray for each other and help other people in the church and around the world. We meet every Sunday morning in the back room.

Little Fishes Toddler Group

Our Little Fishes toddler group runs every Wednesday morning during term-time from 10am to 12pm. We make craft, play games and sing songs together and it is a great time for mums and dads to get together and encourage one another.

What to do on a Sunday

Bring your child through Vineyard Kids between 10.20 and 10.30am. The groups start at 10.30am so don’t miss out on the fun, try to arrive in good time. If it is your first visit to Vineyard Kids then please complete a consent form for each child (a parent, carer or guardian must do this) and then sign them into their group. After the service you collect your children from the same place. After your first visit you will just need to sign in and out.

Some things to remember

If your child needs their nappy changing or assistance going to the toilet then we will come and get you from the main service.

The children are provided with drinks and snacks at 11am. Please make us aware if they have any allergies when you complete their consent form.

If your child carries medication (asthma inhalers etc.) with them then please label this with their name and hand it in to the leader at the sign-in desk.

If the fire alarm sounds please exit the building with the other adults in the main service. The children’s leaders will ensure the children get safely out of the building and to the meeting point—which is where the back ten foot meets Ash Grove.

Child Protection

We take the welfare and protection of children extremely seriously at the Hull Vineyard. Our Child Protection Policy outlines our approach towards protecting children in our care. All members of the children’s team follow our Child Protection Policy and guidelines for working with children. In addition, they undergo checks through the DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) and receive safeguarding training. If you would like a copy of our Child Protection Policy then please go to the Welcome Desk on a Sunday and request a copy or contact the Church Office.

At Hull Vineyard, we understand that every child is different and learns in a different way, so we try to teach in a variety of styles to keep everyone engaged. Our team are aware of different learning styles and have experience in designing activities to suit all types of learner.

We believe that every child matters and want everyone in Vineyard Kids to have the best time possible. If your are thinking of joining the church and would like ask any questions please contact the Church Office to discuss the ways in which we can support and welcome you.
