The Hull Vineyard story began in 1993 when Jeremy and Elaine Cook were called by God to return to their hometown to start a Vineyard church. The journey began with just a handful of people with a dream. The dream was to renew the City, socially, spiritually and culturally through the local Church; a place of love, compassion and hope that would be a light in the darkness.
The local Church is people from all walks of life and backgrounds simply following Jesus Christ and, as He did, reaching out to the lives of many including the least privileged, the lost and the lonely of society.
One by one, day by day over 20 years, thousands have been touched by His love in action through those people. The church started in a lounge, then found itself in a pub, followed by a school and in 2001 acquired its own premises for the first time. As we grew out of the current facility we began searching for a new space. Somewhere that all our dreams and vision for our city could be realised, where we could have fabulous facilities for children, where we could build a compassion centre and where we could host national conferences and gatherings.
In 2013 we found a warehouse on Clough Road. Our leadership team looked around it, not quite realising that this place would be our home within 2 years. Since then, we have bought this building and converted it into a 500 seater warehouse facility just 10 minutes from where we were previously based. We moved in June 2015 and are so excited about the next stage of our journey as a church.
