Sundays at the Vineyard

We love Sundays here at the Vineyard, but we recognise that if you haven’t been to Church before this can be a very daunting thing to do!

We have moved buildings! Our new home is at the bottom of Vulcan Street, off Clough Road. HU6 7PS. We would love to see you there!

If you are looking for a church or exploring the Christian faith you are very welcome at our church.  We aim to make your visit as simple and enjoyable as possible by letting you know exactly what’s involved. Here at the Vineyard we have two services every Sunday – 10:30am and 7pm.

Before the services

Our morning service caters for everyone, including families, with a wonderful Kid’s ministry running. There is a cafe which opens at 10:00am serving fresh pastries with piping hot tea and filter coffee. The evening service tends to have more students in attendance and the cafe opens at 6:45pm.

Both are services are identical and only differ by the time they start.

Babies, Children & Teenagers

Vineyard Kids is a fun and exciting place for the kids and the team! Our children’s team run kids groups both on a Sunday and during the week, for babies right up to Year 5. We aim to lovingly disciple the kids and pray that they would grow in their walk with Jesus, loving Him with all their hearts and following him every day of their lives. If you are looking for a church and have children, we would love for you to join us. On Sundays the groups run for the entirety of the service and every child is guaranteed a high-5 every week! Find out more about our Kids Ministry here.

Every week we have a separate youth programme for those in years 7 to 11  They take some time to get to hang out, play games, learn more about Jesus and pray for one another; hot chocolate and sweets are always involved! We have always been serious about having lots of fun – BUT also serious about Jesus!

The service

We start with a time of worship led by one of our bands, which lasts for about 30 minutes.

After worship there is a welcome, a short time of notices – where someone will explain what is going on in the life of the Church and how you can find out more, and the opportunity to give financially to the work of the Church.

The speaker for that week will then give a relevant bible-based talk, followed by the opportunity to receive prayer. The whole service lasts about an hour and a half, and afterwards there is plenty of time to chat to one another and drink more coffee.

After the service please make your way over to the Information Point, where you chat to some of our team.  Ask any questions you might have and pick up any helpful information.
