Students
Our location is very close to Hull University and we have a large number of students attending the church from Hull University, the Medical School and the Lincoln University (Hull campus). Our student work goes under the banner of ‘LIFT’ our passion to train and equip young people for the work God has for them in life. We do this in a variety of ways.
We offer great opportunities to serve and gain valuable leadership training within the Church. The sky is the limit as far as we are concerned, whenever there is potential to train people to be pastors, teachers, church planters or small group leaders we take the opportunity.
Mentoring and discipleship relationships form an important part of everyone’s life but especially so at this stage of life. These relationships are found in small groups, in home groups, in one to one relationships with other members of the church. We are affiliated to Fusion and the leadership of the church works closely with Fusion.
Activities include, small groups, mentoring, internships, courses, weekends away for radical discipleship and community. We have student small groups which meet every week and have a great emphasis on serving the campus community. Some students prefer to be in groups with a mixed age range and this works well for them and the others in the group bringing integration and shared life experiences.
We have outreach and mission to our community through the Church and Fusion; servant evangelism (snack bar, water bottles, sweets etc), prayer walking, club evangelism, coffee house evangelism, working with the poor and elderly, schools, events, etc. To sum it up – we love you, pray for you, train and equip you to for the works God planned in advance for you to accomplish!
