Discipleship Group
This is an exciting programme, which covers an academic year. We take a number of individuals who feel they would like to test their calling to pastoral work and continue to develop their walk with God. The year allows them an in depth insight into the challenges of working in the Church and an opportunity to observe their own development and responses to the challenges of life. Some of the applicants are graduates taking a year out for God; but this is not always the case, others may be considering a career change and take a year out to review their situation. All on the course will need to support themselves by working part time, attending the discipleship and training days on the remaining days.
Discipleship Group is about coming to an understanding of who you are in God and the purpose for which He's chosen and called you. We believe this comes out of a growing intimate relationship with Him. We'll train you how to nourish this relationship through teaching, spiritual disciplines and by being part of a real life, accountable community. Through the process of opening your heart to God and others we know He'll refine your character.

Discipleship Group is about following the example of Jesus by taking on a servant lifestyle.
"Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: who being in the form of God did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made Himself nothing, taking the very form of a servant, being made in human likeness." - Philippians 2:6-7
Discipleship Group provides a chance to explore where you can serve practically, using whatever God has put in your hands. As you serve at church, on the course and in mission we trust that you'll develop a heart for service.
Discipleship Group is about developing a pattern for life and setting an example for others to follow. This year you'll be discipled and disciple others. Through the process of this course we hope to release missional leaders who will make disciples in Hull, in the North, in the United Kingdom and in all the earth. This is the Great Comission
